Well, I managed to nearly kill Taj Dana with a full glass of water last night.
Much angst throughout most of today.
But now he seems to be better. *Much rejoicing can be heard.*
Thanksgiving was good. Mmmmm...real food. Yum.
Family is good. David is having some small issues with Spanish, but all in all is doing well in his mix of WNMU/Silver High classes. Mom and Dad: good.
My mother is conspiring to make me not work this summer by pointing out all the other fun and interesting thigs I coul do. My reply: Love to, but, but...money. Necessary stuff. Grad school (eventually).
I am having fun with my Muslim pirate and his Spanish lover, but I don't know that I wish to bring this into a paper that I have to turn into my teachers. I have absolutely no idea of their stance on homosexuality but considering (and I may just be being paranoid here...or judgemental) the seeming aversion to the mention that pirates (as in men stranded on ships with no women for months upon months) sometimes indulged in homosexuality...I'm trying to take the safe road and keeping it as subtle as possible. What? You think it would be safer to leave it out entirely. Well, yeah, but I have 15 pages and Count Arnaldos and Baal Shadi are already condiering mutiny. Damn overbearing, arrogant characters. You'd think that, being the one writing them, I'd have some control, right? But nooooo.
*reads over post* Damn. I'm really weird. Right well, now that I have assured you that in spite of the laxness of security at Mesa Airlines, my plane was not hijacked and/or used to blow up in any important New Mexico buildings, I'm going to go clean the kitchen.
