Terry Pratchett is hilarious. This is why I love him. His books make me laugh and provide a welcome distraction from the world at large.
But there is more to it than that. I find, many of his books leave me with a vague feeling of profoundness. Something skittering by the corners of my eyes, the edges of my conciousness, something that simply, profoundly right. Like the meaning of life or something of that sort.
Something incredibly hard to express. But unlike many books of philosophy and other such things which leave me frustrated, desperatley searching for meaning, Terry Pratchett's books leave me with a sense of satisfaction. Something in my heart, or mind, or soul, has touched some Truth. And that's enough.
No worries, mate.
